Albert Christopher Price, age 60, of Caneyville, KY passed away Wednesday, (February 11, 2026).
He was born on January 12, 1966, in Louisville, KY, the son of Nancy Terrill Hannon and the late Albert Price.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, where he earned his Parachutist Badge as a paratrooper and worked on Black Hawks in Kuwait. He had a natural talent as a handyman and was always tinkering with or fixing anything mechanical. He worked on helicopters, airplanes, and vehicles.
He loved riding motorcycles and recently became a member of the American Legion Riders; He was also a member of the American Legion Post 81. In his downtime, he enjoyed playing chess, dice, and rummy with family and friends. Albert was a spiritual man who found comfort in meditation. Above all he cherished being “Papaw” to his granddaughter.
He is survived by his son, Christopher Price of Jasper, IN; daughters, Genevieve Price (Connor Walsh) of Louisville, KY and Christine Price of Jasper, IN; one granddaughter, Nausicaa Walsh; brother, Matthew Hannon of Louisville; sister, Denise Hubbuch of Louisville; and a step-brother, Jason Beatty. He was blessed to share 25 cherished years with the mother of his children, Undine Price, and the final 10 years of his life with Michelle Armstrong, both of whom held a special place in his heart.
Other than his father, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Michael Anthony Price and Jesse Aaron Price.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. CST Friday, (February 20, 2026) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. CST on Monday (February 23, 2026) in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. CST Friday until time of services.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Dermitt Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
