Albert L. Ramsey, age 84, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (August 31, 2015) at the Grayson Manor Nursing Facility in Leitchfield.

He was born on May 19, 1931 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late Esthus and Cora Leach Ramsey.

He worked at B.F. Goodrich in Louisville, was a co-owner of Twin Lakes Manufacturing Company, worked at Middle Ground Manufacturing, owned and operated a bulldozer, and was a farmer. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, and going to the gambling boat. He was a member of Clearview Baptist Church.

He is survived by one daughter, Fayetta Ramsey of Florida, two sons, Bruce Ramsey (Janet) of Louisville, and Kelly Ramsey (Peggy) of Leitchfield; step-daughter, Vickie Thompson, and step-son, Steven Tabor; one brother, Ray Ramsey; several grandchildren, including Rhonda Collard (Keith) and Janet Duke (Don); several great-grandchildren; and his companion and significant other of twenty-one years, Lenna J. DeGroot.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian Ramsey, and brothers, Bill and Cecil Ramsey.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, (September 2, 2015) at Clearview Baptist Church in Leitchfield. Bro. Chester Shartzer will be officiating. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, and at Clearview Baptist Church from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
