Aline Cummings, age 81, of Falls of Rough, KY, passed away Friday, (February 14, 2014) at Grayson Manor Nursing Home in Leitchfield, KY.
She was born on April 11, 1932 in Caneyville, KY, the daughter of the late Leslie Harrison and Mallie Myrtle Geary Decker.
She was a retired sewing machine operator, and a Baptist by faith. Aline enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing, and listening to gospel music. She loved dogs, especially her Chihuahuas.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Cummings of Leitchfield; one son, Kenneth Cummings and wife, Peggy of Leitchfield; one daughter, Doris Jean Frank and husband, Billy of Falls of Rough; four grandchildren, Marty and wife, Jenny Cummings, Brad and wife, Erin Cummings, Andy and wife, Tessa Cummings, and Chris and wife, Shelli Frank; five great-grandchildren, (with two on the way); two brothers, Herbert Decker of Millwood, and Harrison Decker of Shepherdsville; and three sisters, Mary Mudd of Caneyville, Alice Decker and Mildred Nash both of Leitchfield.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Roosevelt and George Decker; four sisters, Ora Travis, Fannie Mudd, Maybelle Decker, and Sarah Stinson; and one great-granddaughter, Lorris Cummings.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, (February 17, 2014) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Marty Cummings will be officiating. Burial will be in the Old Wilson Pleasant Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
