Obituary
Altha Kathryn Burnett, age 91, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (October 3, 2014) at her residence.
She was born on July 29, 1923 in Grayson Co., KY, the daughter of the late Owen Lee and Ruth Spurrier Larkin.
She was a housewife and a member of the Duff Methodist Church until its closing.
She married her husband, Edward Harold Burnett, on October 19, 1946, who survives her. She is also survived her grandchildren, James Kennedy (Kristin) of Sweeden, KY, Melissa Carwile (Jared) of Harned KY and Jonathan Kennedy (Theresa) of Hardinsburg, KY, six great-grandchildren, Brittany, Emily, Maggie and Audrey Carwile, and Peyton and Adalynn Kennedy.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death a daughter, Sharon Kennedy.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, (October 7, 2014) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Jeff McMichael will be officiating. Burial will be in the Duff Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 8:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
