Obituary
Altina Vincent Poteet, age 86, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (June 09, 2017) at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY.
She was born on May 27, 1931 in Edmonson County, KY, the daughter of the late Richard and Bessie Embry Vincent.
She was a housewife, a proud volunteer for the many functions of the Anneta Volunteer Fire Department and a member of Providence Church.
She is survived by five children, Charles Brent Poteet (Diana) of Louisville, KY, Vickie Catlett (Bruce) of Maysville, KY, Vincent Poteet of Meridian, MS, Tryson Poteet of Leitchfield, KY and Johnnie Williams (Steve) of Big Clifty, KY; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Poteet; five brothers, Nay, Leonard, Ottis, Carlos, and Johnny; and two sisters, Dorothy and Lenada.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. CST Monday, (June 12, 2017) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Cecil Williams will be officiating. Burial will be in the Providence Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. CST to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 11:00 a.m. CST Monday until time of services.
