Ann W. Brookshire, age 94, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday, (April 1, 2018) at the Beehive Assisted Living in Leitchfield.

She was born on January 06, 1924 in Beaver Dam, KY, the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Barnard Williams.

She was a secretary, a farm owner and bookkeeper, who enjoyed homemaking and activities with her church and family. She was a member of the Leitchfield United Methodist Church and of United Methodist Women, with whom she was an active member all of her life. She was also a 4-H Leader and a member of Kentucky County Extension Homemakers.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda French (Gary) of Leitchfield, KY, Barbara Hensley (Stephen) of Davenport, FL, Mary Beth Young (Todd) of Lancaster, OH; 11 grandchildren, Greg French (Debbie), Andrew French (Courtney), Adam French (Stacy), Erin Peach (Joe), Allison Canavan (Cavin), Sarah House (Cody), Rachel Wright (Peter), Donald, Emily, Eli and Henry Young; seven great grandchildren; and a brother, Jim Williams of Owensboro, KY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank W. Brookshire; sisters Rachel Finnie and Nancy Williams; and a brother Edmund Williams.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, (April 05, 2018) at the Leitchfield United Methodist Church. Bro. Ric Holladay will be officiating and Andy French assisting. Burial will be in the Perryville Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and will move to the Leitchfield United Methodist Church on Thursday for visitation from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
