Anna C. Edwards , age 76, of Leitchfield, KY passed away Monday, December 13, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on October 18, 1945 in Hudson, KY, the daughter of the late Christopher "C.C." and Edith Carmon.

Anna spent 43 years working in the insurance industry, first for various local agencies, then becoming an agent for Shelter Insurance in 1985.  After a very successful career, she retired at the end of 2008 to spend time traveling with her husband and to enjoy her grandchildren, who were the highlight of her life.

She was a member of First General Baptist Church and also attended Potters Hope Ministries, both in Leitchfield.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, James "Jimmy" Edwards, daughters Penny Reece and Donna (Jason) VanMeter, son Michael (Gail) Edwards, grandchildren Darien (Seth) Beatty, Jameson (Bailey) VanMeter, MacKenzie Edwards, Madison (Derryce) Smith, great-grandchildren Davis Logan Beatty and Walker James VanMeter, brother Charles Carmon and several nieces and nephews.  Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant sister, Betty Jean Carmon, brother Vernie R. Carmon and grandson Logan "Bubba" Reece.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday (December 18, 2021) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield.  Brother Wayne Clemons and Reverend Buddy Brooks will be officiating.  Burial will follow in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.

Anna's family requests that all those attending the visitation and funeral, please wear a mask covering their nose and mouth for the duration of their visit.
