Anna Louise Stinnett, age 86, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (August 13, 2014) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.
She was born on October 6, 1927 in Perry County, KY, the daughter of the late Joseph and Gypsy Farris Carroll.
She was a Baptist by faith. She enjoyed sewing, making fried apple pies, watching John Wayne movies, and talking with friends. She loved all people, especially children.
She is survived by her husband, Dewey Ray Stinnett of Leitchfield, sons, David Stinnett (Nonnie), of Simpsonville, KY, Patrick Stinnett (Ethel), of West Point, KY, and Jim Stinnett (Sherrie) of Leitchfield; daughter, Bobbie Hayse (Dewey Farris) of Leitchfield; thirteen grandchildren; a sister, America VanMeter of Tennessee; also a special niece, Sue Scott.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Dewey Stinnett; son, Roy Stinnett, grandson, Eric Hayse; six brothers, Gene, Clyde, Jesse, Herbert, Albert, and Henry Carroll; a sister Bonita Decker and three infant sisters, Hannah, Reanae, and Millie Carroll.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, (August 16, 2014) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Leon Ashley will be officiating. Burial will be in the VanMeter Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
