Anthonette Flake, age 76, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Monday, (October 12, 2015) at the Helmwood Center in Elizabethtown, KY.
She was born on June 23, 1939 in Millerstown, KY, the daughter of the late Garland and Emma Carby Gibson.
She was a retired business owner of A&O Gas Co. for 35 years and a Member of Little Flock Baptist Church, who enjoyed walking, working at her store, watching TV, flowers and gardening.
She is survived by her husband Olvin Flake of Clarkson; two brothers, Robert Gibson (Marie) and Paul Gibson; and a sister, Geneva Cubbage. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers, Harley, Jessie, Troy, Ralph, Euell, Lowell and W.T. Gibson; and four sisters, Frances Armstrong, Alverta Gibson, Lillian Higdon and infant, Mary Zelma Gibson.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, (October 15, 2015) at the Little Flock Missionary Baptist Church in Clarkson, KY. Bros. Terry Priddy and Hanley Milby will be officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and at the Little Flock Missionary Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
