Obituary
Anthony Wayne Higgs, age 55, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (June 29, 2011) at his home on 971 Phelps Johnson Road in Leitchfield, KY.
He was born on October 2, 1955, in, Louisville, KY the son of Willard Roderick Higgs and Roberta Phelps Higgs. He was a retired truck driver, and a member of Caneyville Holiness Church.
He is survived by his two sons, Walter Anthony Higgs of Sunfish, and David Higgs of Leitchfield; his mother, Roberta Hunt of Leitchfield; four sisters, Marjorie L. Wells (Curtis) of Leitchfield, Sherrie M. Geary (Mike) of Caneyville, Treva Rogers (Bobby), and Sandra Cardwell (Brian), both of Beaver Dam; one brother, Richard Hunt (Jill) of Beaver Dam; and several loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Willard Roderick Higgs, one sister Barbara Lynn Johnson, and his grandparents, Walter and Cova Phelps.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday (July 2, 2011) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Harold Craven will be officiating. Burial will be in the South Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
