Anthony “Tony” Edward Rishkofski Sr., age 78, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (March 13, 2026) at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY.

He was born on October 18, 1947 in Manville, NJ, the son of the late Edward Anthony and Helen Marsicano Rishkofski.

Tony joined the U.S. Army straight out of high school and served overseas in both Vietnam and Korea. While in the service he received the Cross of Gallantry and the Oak Leaf Cluster. From the jungles of Southeast Asia to the Korea tundra to the desert of Saudi Arabia, he served his country for 26 years, retiring as a First Sargeant. A lifelong Catholic, Tony was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of VFW Post 12236.

He is survived by his daughter, Christine Junker; two sons, Anthony Rishkofski Jr. and Michael Rishkofski (Shirley Cundiff); 10 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Rishkofski and a son, Joseph Rishkofski.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, (March 23, 2026) at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Leitchfield. Father Suneesh Mathew will be officiating.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time 10:45 a.m., at which time we will move to the church for services.

A Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the Dermitt Funeral Home.
