Ara Jeanette Whitely Grimes, age 41, of Falls of Rough, KY, passed away Monday, (December 24, 2007) at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville as a result of an automobile accident.

She was born on June 8, 1966, in Ohio County, KY, the daughter of Vernon and Oleta Bowen Whitely. She was disabled and was a member of the Olaton Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Amber Jeanette Grimes of Falls of Rough, KY, her brothers, Jerry Whitely of Beaver Dam, KY and Robert Whitely of Hartford, KY, two sisters, Linda Cannon of Leitchfield, KY and Doris McMichael of Louisville, KY, her biological mother, Ruby McStoots of Caneyville, her step-mother, Dean Kathleen Tucker of Horse Branch, KY, her biological brothers and sisters, David Whitely II of Cromwell, KY, Tina Lynette Higdon of Leitchfield, Chandra Morris of Rosine, KY and Amy Wilson of Hartford, KY.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday (December 29, 2007) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Sonny Whitely will be officiating. Burial will be in the Olaton Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
