Obituary
Arnold F. O'Connell, age 81, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (July 22, 2008) at the Springview Health and Rehab in Leitchfield.
He was born on July 2, 1927, in Kenosha WI, the son of Thomas Frances and Theresa Mary Koonze O'Connell. He was a retired diesel mechanic, a veteran of World War II and was a past member and Deacon of the Millwood Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by three sons, Harold O'Connell (Sandie) of Falls of Rough, KY, Carl O'Connell (Reesa) of McDaniels, KY and Gerald O'Connell (Bonnie) of Leitchfield, three daughters, Alicia Hazelwood (Bethel) of Short Creek, KY, Sandy McStoots of Caneyville and Tresa McStoots (Kennedy) of Falls of Rough, fourteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann O'Connell.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday (July 24, 2008) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Hopewell Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
