Obituary
Arnold Wayne Smith, age 83, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Saturday, (May 23, 2009) at his home in Caneyville.
He was born on March 26, 1926, in Yeaman, KY, the son of Wayne and Acie Allen Smith. He was a member of the Pleasure Ridge General Baptist Church and the Shrewsbury Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by one son, Eddie (Patty) Smith of Louisville, KY two daughters, Jody (Jim) Taylor of Crestwood, KY and Norma (James) Miller of Caneyville, KY one brother, Bill Smith of Horse Branch, KY, Five grandchildren, James, Jason, Jeremy, Dwayne and Kelly, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. (May 27, 2009) at the Caneyville Christian Church. Bro. Gary Beatty and Bro. Matt Milam will be officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Caneyville Christian Church in Caneyville after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (May 26, 2009)
