Arthur Frank Bitsky, age 87, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (July 18, 2015) in Leitchfield, KY.
He was born on September 7, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Arthur Joseph and Alma Legat Bitsky.
He retired from General Electric after 37 years working in distribution. He enjoyed yard work and gardening, and watching Fox News. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of American Legion Post 81, and was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Arlene Grigsby Bitsky; three sons, Randy Bitsky of Leitchfield, Richard Bitsky of Shepherdsville, Kenneth Bitsky of Wedgefield, SC; one daughter, Susan Mitchell of Bardstown; four grandchildren, Tara and Sarah Bitsky, Dustin Mitchell, and Corie Vega; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Rosemary Boulanger of Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, (July 21, 2015) at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Leitchfield. Rev. Tony Bickett will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with services following at the church.
Scripture services will be held Monday night at 6:00 p.m. at the Dermitt Funeral Home.
