Arvaleen "Granny" Ruth Daniel, age 88, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (February 24, 2024) at Owensboro Health Twin Lakes in Leitchfield, KY.

She was born on July 11, 1935 in Grayson County, KY, the daughter of the late Ernest and Edna Vincent Ruth.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed going to church, the dollar tree and yard sales. Granny loved to cook and was known for her chili, baked beans, potato salad and jam cakes. She was a member of the Church of God Prophecy.

She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Herman Gene Daniel; granddaughters, Cheryl Brown and Vicki Regenauer (Dave); six great-grandchildren, Mercedes, Christian, Mariah, Tyler, Brennen and MaKenzie; nine great-great grandchildren; one brother, David Ruth (Charolotte); four sisters, Barbara McClure, Martina Childress (Chester), Luby Kerr (Tom), and Brenda Hayes. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Daniel, daughter-in-law, Pam, and one brother, Carl Ruth.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, (February 29, 2024) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Roy Smith will be officiating. Burial will be in the Sanders Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
