Obituary
Atlee "Sonny" Embry, age 71, passed away Saturday, (January 23, 2010) at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY.
He was born on February 11, 1938, in Caneyville, KY, the son of Elva Thomas and Elma Bozarth Embry. He was a sawmill operator and a member of the Windsor Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Thomas Fentress Embry, one son, Michael Embry (Charolette) of Jamestown, KY, one daughter, Sandy Hendry (Donny) of Lawrenceburg, KY, two sisters, Georgia Wilson of Caneyville and Roberta Lee of Leitchfield, KY, five grandchildren, Austin, Dillon, Weston, Whitney and Ashley and niece and a nephew, Barbara Thomas and David Wilson.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. (January 26, 2010) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Gary Morris will be officiating. Burial will be in the Shady Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of service.
