Augusta Dean Noblett, age 78, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Thursday, (October 30, 2025) in Leitchfield, KY.

She was born on March 24, 1947 in Leitchfield, KY, the daughter of the late Luke and Lizzie Mae Cockriel Brooks.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed various types of flowers in all colors, raising chickens, and listening to Bluegrass music. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored. She was a member of Pine Knob Church.

Augusta is survived by her daughter, Teresa Carter of Springfield, TN; four grandchildren, Dustin Carter, Alexandra Burns (Dillon), Nathan Carter, and Daniel Mudd; four great-grandchildren; two  brothers, Charles and Clyde Brooks; two sisters, Alberta Brooks and Mildred Embry; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Kaye Noblett; and her life-long partner, Charles Smith.

A Celebration of Augusta's Life will be held on Monday (November 3, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield, beginning at 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., with cremation to follow at her request.
