Obituary
Ava Carter Embry, age 81, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Saturday, (May 30, 2009) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
She was born on August 9, 1927, in Grayson County KY, the daughter of Jessie Monroe and Ethel (Likens) Carter. She was retired from Phillip Morris, and was a member of the Wilson Home Church.
She is survived by her husband, V.J. Embry of Caneyville, one son, Stevie Embry of Leitchfield, one sister, Wilma Renfrow (Ralph) of Morgantown, three grandchildren, Corey Embry of Morgantown, T.J. Embry and Micah Embry of Bowling Green, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Alvin Carter.
Funeral services will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. (June 01, 2009) at the Wilson Home Church in Caneyville. Bro. Dewey Baker will be officiating. Burial will be in the Wilson Home Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Wilson Home Church in Caneyville from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
