Barbara J. Lacefield, 79, of Morgantown, KY, passed away Saturday, (July 19, 2025) at Grayson Manor Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield, KY.

She was born on June 19th, 1946 in Evansville, IN, the daughter of the late Laslie and Maudie Mitchell Lacefield.

She was a former employee of Campbell Hausfeld, sat with elderly people, loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  She had an exceptional love for Mountain Dew, and was a member of the Free Union Independent General Baptist Church (Old Decker).

She is survived by her sons; Bro. Larry (Norene), James, and Kenny; Four daughters; Sherry, Wanda (Norman), Joyce (Reese), and Kaye; a daughter in law Lisa;  20 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She is also survived by a good friend Deb Payton.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Howard Lacefield to whom she was married 46 years; sons, Ricky and Harold Lacefield and a daughter Kristi. She was also preceded in death by brothers; Bobby Joe, Danny, and Freddy, and a sister Mary Lou.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, (July 22, 2025) at Free Union Independent General Baptist Church in Morgantown, KY. Bro Larry Lacefield will be officiating. Burial will be in the Geary Cemetery.

Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, (July 22, 2025) until time of services at the Church.
