Barry Higdon, age 69, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (April 15, 2020) at his residence in Leitchfield.

He was born on February 27, 1951, in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late Hurley and Juanita Johnston Higdon.

He was a retired construction worker, who enjoyed messing around in his garage, working on his vehicles and shooting his guns. He married his wife, Bobbie Jean Wells Higdon on April 6, 1973. He was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Jean Wells Higdon, one son, Brent Higdon, one granddaughter, Addie Higdon and daughter-in-law, Amanda Higdon. Other survivors include six brothers, Kerry (Patty), Dennis (Cindy), Keith (Connie), Timmy, Neil and Norris Higdon; three sisters, Sharolyn Kipper, Joan Chaney (Jimmy) and Jeanie Higdon.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Darrell and Dale Higdon.

According to his wishes, cremation was chosen and will be under the direction of the Dermitt Funeral Home. When permissible the family will be holding a memorial service to honor Barry's life.
