Obituary
Benjamin A. Gabehart, age 81, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (May 23, 2011) at his residence in Leitchfield, KY.
He was born on July 4, 1930, in Louisville, KY, the son of the late Fletcher and Bernice (Pfaff) Gabehart. He was retired from Louisville
Gas and Electric, a member of the American Legion Post 0229 in Louisville, and was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Axtel.
He is survived by his wife Martha Wooldrige of Leitchfield; two sons, Benjamin Gabehart, Jr. of Louisville, and Patrick Gabehart of Leitchfield; one daughter, Laura Ballard of Las Vegas; one sister, Sarah Scot of Louisville; five grandchildren, Christropher, Chad, and Mark Jr. Gabehart, Andy Garrett, and Brandy Hattiabaugh; four great-grandchildren, Connor, Danika, and Keeliend Gabehart, and Andrew Garrett. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and George Gabehart .
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday (May 28, 2011) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Rev. Brian Johnson will be officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 11:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
