Benjamin Burl "Bobby" Jarboe, age 85, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (March 18, 2023) at Owensboro Health Twin Lakes in Leitchfield, KY.
He was born on January 13, 1938 in Clarkson, KY, the son of the late Emmett and Millie Carwile Jarboe.
He was a heavy equipment operator who drove a backhoe and a semi-truck. Bobby enjoyed driving his tractors in the parades, listening to old style country music, and taking his wife dancing. He loved his grand "girls" and all of his grandchildren. He married Evelyn Louise McGrew on September 16, 1967. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Louise Jarboe; children, David, Ben, Danny (Patricia), Tammy, Kevin and Brent Zackery: grandchildren, Amanda "Tink" Russell (Anthony), Daniel Jarboe, Cody (Felicia) Jarboe, Kayley (Jordan) McMullan, David Jarboe, Damon Jarboe, Sarah, Stephen, Whittney and Bobby Zackery; great-grandchildren, Dylan Russell, Chloe Louise Russell, Madison Elaine Cook, Gracie, Jordyn, Preston, Kinley and Nova Jarboe, Memphis, Maverick, Nora, Chloe, Levi, Kalee, Megan, Mikki, Cassidy, and Noah; sister, Almie, and brothers, Jack and Sherwood. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
"We love you Papaw. We will teach everyone to say unnuckasucky. We will take care of Mamaw. She will love you forever."
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan Young; brothers, Oscar and Ethro Jarboe; and a son-in-law, John Young.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, (March 22, 2023) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Ernie Johnson will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday until time of services.
