Bernard L. Keown, Jr. age 57, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (December 13, 2021) at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville.

He was born on January 30, 1964 in Fort Scott, Bourbon County, Kansas, to the late Bernard Lee Keown Sr. and Alma Jean Vincent Keown.

He worked for WARE, in the boiler industry, as a National Account Representative for 35 years. He was a hard worker who enjoyed golfing with his buddies, his Jim Beam and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of American Legion Post #81 and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his bride, Marilee Weedman Keown of Leitchfield; his children, Brittany Keown, Brice Keown (Victoria) and Adam Keown; children he called his own, Stephen (Susanna) and Andrew (Sabrina) Murray, Tanah Snyder (Dean) and Amber Shea MaGill (Ian); his mother, Linda Keown; eight grandchildren; sister, Christie Mann (Rodney) and Jackie Parks (David Leh); friends he called his brothers, Chris Jones and Charlie Jackson; several nieces and nephews; and his two fur babies, Rousey and Roudey.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Lee Keown, Sr. and his birth mother, Alma Jean Vincent Keown; brother, Jimmy Keown; grandparents, Roma and Loretta Keown and Edna and Walter Miller.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, (December 16, 2021) at the Dermitt Funeral Home. Bro. Donald "Pete" Farris will be officiating. Cremation will follow the service.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
