Bernice Sanders Newton, age 76, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (September 29, 2007) at the Grayson Manor Nursing Facility in Leitchfield.
She was born on June 6, 1931 in Edmonson County KY, the daughter of Hez and Lena Houchens Sanders. She was a housewife and homemaker.
She is survived by her husband Carl Newton, one son, Scottie Newton (Theresa) of Leitchfield, two daughters, Sharon Cannon (Kenny) and Karen Downs (Brian) both of Leitchfield, one brother, Dempsey Sanders of Leitchfield, three sisters, Daisy Smith, Effie Doyle and Doris Newton all of Leitchfield, 6 grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday (October 1, 2007) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield, Bro. Garry Watkins and Bro. Mike Cannon will be officiating. Burial will be in the Sanders Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield after 12:00 noon Sunday (September 30, 2007)
