Berthel E. McCrady, age 86, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Tuesday, (July 6, 2010) at the Grayson Manor Nursing Home in Leitchfield , KY.

He was born on July 12, 1923, in Edmonson County, KY, the son of the late J.C. and Maude Smith McCrady. He was a member of the Pleasant Union United Baptist Church in Caneyville.

He is survived by his son Donald McCrady (Regina); four daughters, Judy Mudd (Sherman), and Lisa Lee (Mark), all of Caneyville, Juanita Reams of Clarkson, and Alice Streible of Bowling Green; nineteen grandchildren, Leesa, Heather, Steven, Scott, Allen, Kim, Kevin, Stacey, Bethany, Laura, Ashley, Matthew, Samantha, Kristi, Kaitlyn, Nicholas, Lillian, Cynthia, and Stephanie; fifteen great-grandchildren, sixteen great-great-grandchildren, and two great-great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by four sisters, Inez Stevenson, Mary Jewell, Ruby Jones, and Blanche Kendrick. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Mudd McCrady, one daughter Linda Towne, his parents, four brothers, and three sisters.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. (July 9, 2010) at the Pleasant Union United Baptist Church in Caneyville. Bros. Howard Decker and Edward Dermitt will be officiating. Burial will be in the Wilson Church Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, after 9:00 a.m. Thursday, and after 9:00a.m. Friday until time of services at the church.
