Obituary
Bettie J. Volk, age 68, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (July 18, 2009) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
She was born on April 12, 1941, in Louisville KY, the daughter of Earl Stephen and Florence Geneva Higdon Hall. She was a housewife and a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church, the Eastern Star and the Leitchfield American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Volk of Leitchfield, three sons, Robert of Pennsylvania, Michael of New Jersey and Kenneth Volk of Virginia, four brothers, James Michael Hall of Shepherdsville, KY, Kenneth Steven, William Patrick and Dennis Leroy Hall all of Louisville, five grandchildren, Kera, Robert, Daniel, Samantha and Sean Volk. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Wayne Hall and a sister, Judith Ann Felts.
Funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday (July 22, 2009) at the St. Anthony Catholic Church at Peonia. Burial will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services at the church.
