Betty Gaither Andel, age 73, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (September 4, 2021) at her residence.

She was born on July 11, 1948 in Bloomington, Illinois, the daughter of the late James and Alberta Brooks Gaither.

She was a home-maker who enjoyed sewing, singing, dancing, shopping and attending her church. She was a member of Mt. Gilead Church in Breckinridge County.

She is survived by her children, Billy Wayne Lashley (Shannion), Tom Lashley, Joe Lashley, Lester Lashley, Jr., Kathy King (Paul) and Tracy Garcia (Arturo); seventeen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren; three brothers, John, Ronnie and Robert Gaither, three sisters, Rose, Barb and Annabelle Gaither; and several nieces and nephews.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Andel, one grandson, Steven Gassaway and one brother, Chuck Gaither.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, (September 19, 2021) at the Mt. Gilead Church in Breckinridge County. Bro. Donnie Lewis will be officiating. Cremation was chosen.

Visitation will be at the Mt. Gilead Church on Sunday, September 19, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until time of services.
