Betty Lou Kiper, age 87, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday, (October 04, 2026) at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY.
She was born on July 29, 1939 in Breckinridge County, KY, the daughter of the late George S. and Lena Robinson Butler.
She was a seamstress and a line-worker who enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing, quilting, decorating, listening to music and mowing her yard. She was a member of the Presbyterian faith.
She is survived by four sisters, Winnie Combs (Bruce), Jacyl Dupin, Judy Bullock (Eddie) & Wilma Bates (Larry); and three brothers, Justus Butler (Pat), Larry Butler (Helen) & Darrell Butler (Irene). Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Hubert Kiper; a son, Mark Kiper; a nephew, Jason Butler; a sister Ramona Stinnett; a brother, George H. Butler and two brothers-in-law, Stanley Dupin and Robert Stinnett.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, (October 08, 2026) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Wayne Clemons will be officiating. Burial will be in the Holly Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
