Betty Meyers, passed gently and peacefully from this life on
December 17, 2009 in Leitchfield, KY. She was born on October 18, 1917, the daughter of Allen and Eliza (McGrew) Watson. She was a housewife, the mother of eight children, a retiree of Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center and was a member of the Leitchfield Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sanford Meyers, and a daughter, Sarah Jane (Charles) Smith.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Kirk (Ed) Franklin of Clarkson, KY, Betsy (Lee) Schroerlucke of Leitchfield and Vickie Newton-Campbell (Jack) of Louisville, KY; four sons, Frank (Gwen) of Shepherdsville, KY, Tony (Susan) of Leitchfield, Norman (Laura) of Indiana and Tim(Robin) of Louisville; a son-in law, Charles G. Smith of Shrewsbury, KY; two sisters, Ida Willis and Martha Noe both of Louisville, one brother, Arthur Watson of Leitchfield,
eighteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grand children.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. CST (December 20, 2009) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro Lee Schroerlucke will be officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Memorial Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. Sunday until time of service.
