Betty Jean Milam, age 79, of Short Creek, KY, passed away Sunday, (June 29, 2025) at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY.

She was born on April 18, 1946 in Hart County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Wilbur and Valena (Butler) Logsdon.

She was a nurse of 46 years who enjoyed caring for others, and spending time with her friends and family. She was a member of Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons, Anthony Milam (Beverly) and Matthew Milam (Jennifer), both of Short Creek, grandchildren, Morgan Ray (Brandon), Alexander Milam (Taylor), Kia Hayes (Dustin), Matteson Stinson (Lucas), Coray Milam, Carter Milam, and Josiah Milam, great-grandchildren, Olivia and Theodora Ray, Collier Hayes, and Thomas Milam. Brothers, William (Bill) Logsdon, Winford "Wink" Logsdon, Larry Logsdon, Charles "Freck" (Sharon) Logsdon, Robert (Sandra) Logsdon, and Donnie (Kim) Logsdon sisters, Carol (Bill) Russell, Ronella Sanders, Nedra Foreman, Theresa (Michael) Schwartz, and Anita Schroerlucke. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce

Milam, her sisters Myrtle Dunn, Ethel Sandidge, and Rose Logsdon, and brothers Theodore Logsdon and Cleon Logsdon.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, (July 1, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Caleb Owens and Bro. Mike Cannon will be officiating. Burial will be in the Duff Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.

Expressions of sympathy may be taken in the form of donations to the Duff Cemetery.
