Betty Parks Woosley, age 94, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Saturday, (February 29, 2020) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.

She was born on May 23, 1925 in Caneyville, KY, the daughter of the late William Claude and Clarenda Mae Woosley Parks.

She was retired from Grayson County Board of Education and also a retired Avon sales representative for 45 years, who enjoyed working puzzles, flowers and gardening and was a member of the Caneyville Christian Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Janet Shartzer (Jerry) of Leitchfield, two sons, Hilbert Earl (Brenda) and Donald Woosley (Beverly) both of Caneyville, ten grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, one sister, Hazel Haire of Leitchfield. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Hilbert Woosley and three sisters, Minnie Burden, Alma Jean Daugherty, and Sally George.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, (March 05, 2020) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Rev. David Brown and Rev. Kirt Scott will be officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday and from 9:00 AM Thursday until time of services.
