Obituary
Bettye Burres Watkins, age 80, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (January 26, 2015) at Hardinsburg Health and Rehab in Hardinsburg, KY.
She was born on January 8, 1935 in Grayson Co., KY, the daughter of the late William Mack Burress and Mary Elizabeth Mannix.
She was a former Vice-President of the Leitchfield Deposit Bank, and a member of the Leitchfield United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
She is survived by her nieces: Beth Burres Alvey (Brent), LeeAnn Burres Glenn (Bart), Isabel Watkins Rubio (Freddy), Georgia Watkins Brennan (Matt) and nephew Ragland Tolk Watkins (James); and grand nieces and nephews: Christopher, Ashley, Benjamin, Amanda, Sofia, Cody and Bobby; a sister-in-law, Ginny Burres, and a dear cousin Ray Martin Ragland (Janet).
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her devoted husband Richard Denman Watkins and her beloved brother Bobby Burres.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, (January 28, 2015) at the Dermitt Funeral Home. Bro. Fred Whitmore will be officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
