Billie Jean Willis (White), age 90 , of Leitchfield, KY, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, (November 3, 2022). She was born to the late Latna and Pearl Miller White.
Billie retired from the Grayson County High School lunchroom. She loved to travel with her family and take new adventures. She took great pride in serving her church and working in her flowers. She was a founding member of the Nannie Willis Missionary Society at First General Baptist Church in Leitchfield, and an active member of Potter's Hope Ministries. Ms. Billie made several trips to third world countries to help bring the Word of God to children. She was a lifetime member of the Eastern Star and the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.
Billie is survived by her husband of 57 years, Russell Willis; five children, Nancy Cain (Sam) of Clarkson, Jo Avery (Luke) of Canmer, Mark Willis (Holly) of Leitchfield, Debbie Jo Terry of South, and Mary Jane Hileman of Ohio; fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Betty Jo White; her brother, Bud White; two children, Regina "Jeannie" Decker and Jimmy "Poncho" Willis; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, (November 7, 2022) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Wayne Clemons will be officiating. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
