Birdie Mae "Pepper" Rigdon, age 80, of Eastview, KY, passed away Saturday, (September 25, 2021) at her home.

She was born on January 5, 1941 in Edmonson County, KY, the daughter of the late Guy and Susie Childress Carroll.

She retired as a line worker for Cooper-Bussman and was the former owner of Rigdon's Grocery. She enjoyed reading her bible, going to yard sales, listening to bluegrass and gospel music, watching her hummingbirds, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Fairdale United Baptist Church in Louisville, KY.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Charles Rigdon of Eastview; two daughters, Debbie Winningham of Eastview and Tammy Claggett (Charlie) of Leitchfield; three grandchildren, DeDe Kirk of Eastview, Skylar Stuart (Katie) of Elizabethtown, KY, and Suzie Claggett (Niche Anaya) of Lagrange, CA; five great-grandchildren, Dray Grady, Legend & Zeplyn Kirk, and Azalea & Zinnia Stuart; four brothers, Carl, Fox, Jerry & Roger Carroll; and a sister, Betty Clenney. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Petie Carroll, and two sisters, Alice Bruce & Gladys Rigdon.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. (CDT) Wednesday, (October 6, 2021) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Chris McGuffin will be officiating. Burial will be in the Smith Chapel Cemetery in Eastview.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (CDT) on Tuesday (October 5, 2021) and from 9:00 a.m. (CDT) Wednesday (October 6, 2021) until time of services.
