Bob Carnahan, age 72, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (June 29, 2015) at his residence.

He was born on April 5, 1943 in Fern Creek, KY, the son of the late Chester and Laura McGee Carnahan.

He was a licensed Embalmer and Funeral Director for 44 years who was a former owner of Rogers Funeral Home in Clarkson, KY; he was a bailiff with the Grayson County Court System for 14 years; Bob enjoyed making jokes, hunting, fishing and being with family and friends; He was a member of the Kentucky Funeral Directors Association and was a member of the Clearview Baptist Church.

He is survived by six children, Mike Carnahan (Sherry) of Lawrenceburg KY, Melissa Goodrich (Gordon) of Clarkson, KY, David Carnahan of Louisville, KY, Marilyn Hart (Eddie) of Brandenburg KY, Wayne Ashby of Louisville, KY and Anna Alvey of Lebanon Junction KY, six grandchildren, Michael and Tiffany Harper, Jarrod, Jennifer and Zachery Carnahan and Jared Travis, eight other grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sue Baker Carnahan and his second wife, Fran Ashby Carnahan and a grandson, Seth Carnahan.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, (July 2, 2015) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Chester Shartzer will be officiating. Burial will be in the Clarkson Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
