Obituary
Bobbie L. Bird, age 75, of Millwood, KY, passed away Saturday, (March 28, 2009) with his wife by his side at his home in Millwood, KY.
He was born on February 17, 1934, in Millwood, KY., the son of Charles and Mary Lee Duvall Bird. He was an Army Veteran, he was retired from the Civil Service out of Fort Knox as a tank mechanic.
He is survived by his wife, Jennie Bird of Millwood, KY, one son; Steve Bird of Millwood, one granddaughter, Brittany Bird of Millwood, KY, one brother, Dick Bird of Louisville, KY. He is also survived by a very special friend, Gordon Johnson. His parents preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. (March 30, 2009) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Chester Shartzer will be officiating. Burial will be in the Vol-Layman Cemetery in Millwood.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday (March 29, 2009)
