Bobby Dee Hicks, age 72, of Big Clifty, KY, passed away Wednesday, (July 7, 2021) at the Baptist Health Hardin Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.

He was born on July 18, 1948 in Edmonson, Co, KY the son of the late James Lawrence and Effie Mae Sanders Hicks.

He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was retired from General Electric, who enjoyed carpentry, riding horses and gun collecting and was a member of the Short Creek Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his sister, Betty Harp of Leitchfield and a special friend, Ann Clark of Big Clifty. Ten nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Billie Poteet and two brothers, James (Jimmy) and Jackie Lee Hicks.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, (July 12, 2021) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Hill Grove Cemetery in Edmonson County, KY.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 11:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.

There will be a masonic service Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m. by the Short Creek Masonic Lodge
