Brandy Lee Bernard, age 38, of Clarkson, KY, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, (September 12, 2016) at her home in Clarkson.

She was born on March 7, 1978 in Elizabethtown, KY, the daughter of Ray Ragland and Janet Hicks Ragland.

She was a counselor and therapist for Bluegrass Behavioral Health who enjoyed gardening and homemaking, and was a member of the Leitchfield United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Joel Bernard of Clarkson; two step-daughters, Rachel Vales (Alan) of Vine Grove, KY and Ashley Pape (Will) of Murfreesboro, TN; two grandchildren, Boone Vales and Gentry Pape; her parents, Janet Hicks Ragland of Leitchfield, and Ray Ragland of Leitchfield; two sisters, Amy Whobrey (Chad) of Sadler, KY and Shea Vaughn (Rafe) of Leitchfield; a brother, Nick Pierce, of Leitchfield; a half-brother and several half-sisters; her maternal grandparents Jim & Lois Hicks of Millwood, KY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Jamie Pierce.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, (September 16, 2016) at The Rock (208 W Main Street, Leitchfield, KY). Bro. David Harting will be officiating.

A Receiving of Friends will be held at The Rock from Noon on Friday until time of services.
