Bro. Andrew G. “Andy” Vance, Jr., age 62, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (May 2, 2026) at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born on August 11, 1963 in Louisville, KY, the son of Andrew G. (AG) Vance, Sr. and Sharon (Hopkins) Lee.

Bro. Andy was a devoted minister and a beloved pastor. He loved the Lord and loved to study his Bible. He started pastoring in 1999. He founded The Restoration Place in Leitchfield in 2017, leaving the legacy of “Well done my good and faithful servant”. He had a profound sense of humor. He loved people and was a friend to many. He greatly loved his family, his friends, and his church. He married the love of his life, Lori Vance on September 12, 1982. Their life was full of love and laughter, and serving the Lord. Bro. Andy will be missed by all his many friends and extended family, and the numerous people that he impacted during his life.

He is survived by his wife, Lori Vance, with whom he spent 44 adventurous years, of Leitchfield; daughter, Miranda Dawson (Keith Webster) of Leitchfield; his father, Andrew G. Vance Sr. (Pat), and his mother, Sharon Lee (Joe); two grandchildren, Faith Dawson and Andrew Dawson; two sisters, Angie England (David), and Traci Lee; brother, Jammie Vance (Jennifer); step sisters, Deanna “Dee” Eads (Mark) and Karen Faith; step-brother, Joe Lee Jr. (Tina); and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Harriet Hopkins and his mother-in-law, Anna Jane Criswell Holden.

A Celebration of his Life and Homecoming will be at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, (May 6, 2026) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Jammie Vance will be officiating, with Bro. Wayne Clemons assisting. Burial will be in the Providence Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday until time of services.
