Bro. Andrew G. “Andy” Vance, Jr., age 62, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (May 2, 2026) at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, KY.
He was born on August 11, 1963 in Louisville, KY, the son of Andrew G. (AG) Vance, Sr. and Sharon (Hopkins) Lee.
Bro. Andy was a devoted minister and a beloved pastor. He loved the Lord and loved to study his Bible. He has pastored The Restoration Place in Leitchfield since its inception in 2000. He was a people person with a great sense of humor. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. He married the love of his life, Lori Vance on September 12, 1982. Their life was full of love and laughter, and serving the Lord. Bro. Andy will be missed by all his many friends and extended family, and the numerous people that he impacted during his life.
He is survived by his wife, Lori Vance of Leitchfield; daughter, Miranda Dawson (Keith Webster) of Leitchfield; his father, Andrew G. Vance Sr. and his mother, Sharon Lee; two grandchildren, Faith Dawson and Andrew Dawson; two sisters, Angie England (David), and Traci Lee; brother, Jammie Vance (Jennifer); stepsisters, Deanna "Dee" Eads (Mark) and Karen Faith; stepbrother, Joe Lee Jr. (Tina); and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Harriet Hopkins and his mother-in-law, Anna Jane Criswell Holden.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, (May 6, 2026) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Jammie Vance will be officiating, with Bro. Wayne Clemons assisting. Burial will be in the Providence Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday until time of services.
