Richard Ferrie Pence (Brother Rick) born December 15, 1950, went to be with his Saviour, Oct. 24, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his father Ferrie Pence and his mother Christine Beville Pence. Also preceded in death by his younger brother James L. Pence, another brother & a sister who died at birth Peter & Laura Ann Pence.
He is survived by the following, his loving wife Alice Pence and his brother-in-law, Albert Sherrard. A stepdaughter, Jeanette Ash (Jason) and grandsons Avery & Samuel Ash. His son, Cory Matthew Pence and grandchildren, Brian Robert Pence in Florida, Bo Willow Pence and Paige Sierra Pence, Brother Rick's great grandson Aries Pence in Virginia. Brother Rick is also survived by a sister Penny Hendrix, a brother Steve Pence (RuthAnn) & a brother Paul Pence. Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins, as follows, Jobes, Fowlers, Bevilles, Higdons, and more Pences. He also leaves behind a loving Church family at Clarkson Community Church.
Bro Rick loved the Lord Jesus more than anything else in this world. He was a missionary in Columbia, a Sunday School Teacher, a Preacher of the Gospel and loved to have Bible Studies. He loved to talk about Jesus to everyone he come in contact with. His other interests were German Shepherd Dogs that he loved and raised. He loved this farm, gardening, and working outside. He was a construction worker and loved to build things. God allowed him to spend his final days in the log cabin house that he built. Now he's in his Heavenly Home with Jesus for all eternity!
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. CST Saturday, (October 28, 2023) at the Clarkson Community Church. Bro. Curtis Decker will be officiating. Burial will be in the Pence Family Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Clarkson Community Church from 11:00 a.m. CST Saturday until time of services.
