Buddy A. Logsdon, age 70, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (October 23, 2010) at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.
He was born on April 8, 1940, in Grayson Co., KY, the son of the late Hunter and Geneva Sanders Logsdon. He was a deputy jailor at the Grayson County Detention Center, a long time bluegrass musician and he was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Mary King Logsdon, two daughters, June Logsdon (Steve) of Leitchfield and Shannon Smith (Kevin) of Beaver Dam, KY, two grandchildren, Chris Dean and Rylan Smith, two great grandchildren, Ethan and Haylon Dean, two step-grandchildren, Kevin Logsdon and Stacey Embry, one step great-grandchild, Jacob Embry, one brother, Hershell of Anneta, and two sisters, Jane Higdon of Leitchfield and Elsie McGraw of Mt Hebron. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Lynn Logsdon and a grandson, Briar Douglas Smith.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (October 26, 2010) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bros. Junior Stevenson and Ed Cockriel will be officiating. Burial will be in the Williams Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
