Obituary
Callie R. Carter, age 90, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (October 27, 2015) at the Grayson Manor Nursing Home in Leitchfield.
She was born on November 21, 1924 in Millwood, KY, the daughter of the late Walter and Barbara Decker Green.
She was a retired social worker, who enjoyed dancing and playing bingo and was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxilary #81. She had attended Millwood Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Randy Carter (Nancy) of Millwood, Jerry Carter (Ann) of Leitchfield, and Kenny Carter of Millwood; four daughters, Carolyn Goodley (Gary) of Millwood, Janet Lampton (Pete) of Elizabethtown, KY, Patsy Kramer (Roy) of Louisville, KY, and Candy England (Charlie) of Leitchfield. 15 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren also survive.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her children's father, Foster Carter; daughter, Sherry Carter; two sisters, Dessie Evans and Sylvia Kinser; and one brother, Berthel Green.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, (October 30, 2015) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Pete Farris will be officiating. Burial will be in the Vol Layman Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
