Obituary
Carl Henry Downs, age 80, of Anneta, KY, passed away Thursday, (April 28, 2011) at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville KY.
He was born on November 26, 1930, in Grayson Co. KY, the son of the late Henry and Birdie William Downs. He was a construction worker.
He is survived by his daughter, Janice Harrel (Arthur) of Clarkson, KY, his son, Wendel Downs of Anneta, one brother, Robert Downs of Radcliff, KY, three sisters, Juanita Ford and Virginia Blanton both of Anneta and Susie Cline of Leitchfield, six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marcella, one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday (May 1, 2011) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Tim Gage will be officiating. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. Sunday until time of services.
