Carl "Butch" Lindsey, age 73, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (June 11, 2016) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
He was born on January 23, 1943 in Caneyville, KY, the son of the late Bill "Ed" and Rachel Mudd Lindsey.
He was self-employed as a septic tank cleaner, and was a member of New Life Assembly of God Church.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Donnie Lindsey, of Leitchfield; two sons, Mike Lindsey (Sallie) of Leitchfield, Roger Hack (Cindy) of Pewee Valley, KY, one daughter, Danitha Ezell (Mike) of Katy, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Jessica (Wayne), Sara, Katelyn (Tommy), Scott (Liz), Gregory (Jackie), Adam (Amanda), Felicia, Gabriella (Bryant), Christina and Amberly; nine great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Harper, Braden, Claire, Samuel, Greyson, Ella, Landon and Gabrielle; one brother, Jimmy Lindsey (Patsy) of Leitchfield, two sisters, Shirley Snyder (Barry) of Leitchfield and Mildred Walls (Johnny) of Big Clifty, KY. 17 nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Kevin Hack and Wendell Lindsey; a brother, Ronald Lindsey; and a nephew Tommy Lindsey.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, (June 15, 2016) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Tony Redmon will be officiating. Burial will be in the Hopewell Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
