Obituary
Carl Rich Thompson, age 84, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (January 29, 2011) at his home.
He was born on December 30, 1926, in Pierce, KY, the son of the late Marvin E. and Tressie Froggett Thompson. He was a Surveyor for the Kentucky Department of Highways for 38 years and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys M. Thompson of Leitchfield, a son, Mike and daughter-in-law Cricket of Leitchfield, 2 grandchildren, Adam (Christina) Thompson and Brandon ( Karol) Thompson, 2 great-grandchildren, Ethan and Alexis Thompson and a step great grand child, Kyle. He is also survived by 2 brothers, Samuel (Louise) Thompson of Greensburg, KY and Paul Yates (Gayle) Thompson of North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Wilbert and Wallace Thompson and 2 sisters, Florence Wilcoxen and Isabel Jensen..
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday (February 2, 2011) at the Foster – Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg, KY with President James Gled Hill officiating. Burial will be in the Pierce Community Cemetery at Pierce, KY.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday and at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg, KY
From 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 7:00 a.m. to service time on Wednesday.
