Obituary
Carl Junior Whobrey, age 75, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (November 17, 2007) at his home.
He was born on November 18, 1932, in Grayson County KY, the son of Simon Peter and Daisy (Burden) Whobrey. He was a retired truck driver and was a member and deacon of the Liberty Baptist Church, where he served as Sunday School Superintendent.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Davis Whobrey, two sons, Tony (Julie) and Keith Whobrey both of Leitchfield, one daughter, Gloria (Robert) Burnett of Leitchfield, five grandchildren, Andrew and Joseph Whobrey, Bethany and Ashley Whitworth and Tabitha Burnett and two sisters, Lottie Decker and Mary Saltsman both of Leitchfield. He was preceded in death by a brother, Hank Whobrey.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (November 20, 2007) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Arland Benningfield will be officiating. Burial will be in the South Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of service.
