Obituary

Carlos Haycraft, age 77, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (October 8, 2019) at his home in Breckinridge County.

He was born on July 27, 1942 in Leitchfield, KY, the son of the late Paul and Ethel Bradley Haycraft.

He was a retired truck driver who enjoyed music, singing, playing his guitar, gardening, and painting figurines. Carlos became a Master Mason in Plumb   Lodge in 1986, which later became Robinson-Plumb Lodge F&AM # 266. He was a member of the Scottish Rite in Louisville. He was a member of the Kosair Shrine, where he was in the Kosair Motor Corp riding his Harley in Shrine parades. He was also a member of the Tri-County Shrine and rode his dune buggy in parades. He was an honorable KY Colonel. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Shirley B.; his son, Jawania Lee Haycraft (Anita); two grandchildren, Jawania Lee Haycraft, Jr. (Heather) and Shayna Marie Haycraft Cavinee (Blake); three great-grandchildren, Oliver, Julian and Millie; and one brother, Douglas Edward Haycraft.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Mitchell, James, John L. and Charles Thomas Haycraft.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, (October 12, 2019) at the Fairview Cemetery in Leitchfield.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, and from 9:00 a.m. on Saturday until time of graveside services. Masonic Services conducted by Robinson-Plumber Lodge will be held Friday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. CST.
