Obituary

Carlos Langdon Hussey, age 82, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (February 23, 2009) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.

He was born on March 16, 1926, in Grayson County KY, the son of Clarence and Victoria (Embry) Hussey. He was an inspector for the U.S. Civil Service, and was a member of the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. He was a WWII Army veteran. He was wounded and was the recipient of a Purple Heart.

He is survived by four step-sons; Kenny Puckett of Mt. Washington, Pete Mercer of Hardinsburg, Raymond Puckett of Clarkson, and Clyde Puckett of Rineyville, two step-daughters; Margaret Willis of Clarkson, and Debbie Fredrick of Louisiana, sixteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a very special friend, Flossie Jones. He was preceded in death by one son Wayne Hussey.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. (February 26, 2009) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Charles Bell and Bro. Edward Dermitt will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
