Carlos Saltsman, age 69, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Monday, (February 25, 2008) at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.
He was born on November 2, 1938, in Grayson County KY, the son of Frank and Dossie Mercer Saltsman. He was a retired farmer and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Gladys Nelson Saltsman of Caneyville, KY, his son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Robin Saltsman of Sunfish, KY, a daughter and son-in-law, Lana and Randy Lacefield of Millwood, KY, four grandsons, Ronnie, Macey, Andy and Aaron, one step grandson, Adam, four granddaughters, Kisha, Rachel, Brandi and Olivia, one step great granddaughter, Bryleigh, his step mother, Mable Saltsman, three brothers, John Sam, Willie and Jimmy Lee Saltsman all of Leitchfield, and Glenn Saltsman of Illinois, three half brothers, Wayne, Tommy, and Stanley all of Leitchfield, six half sisters, Nina, Lorraine, and Arlene of Leitchfield, Diane of Texas, Phyllis of Virginia and Carlene of Shepherdsville, KY and a special Niece, Dossie Sadler and her children and grandchildren. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie and James Saltsman and one sister, Mildred Saltsman.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday (February 28, 2008) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bros. Arnold Saltsman and Stanley Whitaker will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope (Sadler) Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
